About Washing
We recommend washing less frequently. Merino Wool fibers are naturally moisture-wicking and anti-microbial, which helps resist odors. Simply air dry your clothes after wear or spot clean stains as needed. Over-washing will damage the fibers.
Always use a neutral, mild, specialist wool detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Softeners coat the fibers and compromise wool's natural breathability and moisture management. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, alkaline detergents, oxygen bleach, or soap.
Please refer to the specific instructions on your clothes' label first.
Gently wash in cold water with a specialist detergent. Do not soak for an extended period. After washing, press water out gently—never wring or twist forcefully.
About Drying & Ironing
1. Don't Wring: Gently squeeze out excess water.
2. Lay Flat: Roll in a dry towel to absorb moisture, then lay it flat on a drying rack in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid drying directly under the sunlight to prevent color fading.
3. Avoid the Dryer: Never use a tumble dryer. Heat is the primary cause of shrinkage.
4. Do not hang: this can distort their shape.
Please refer to the specific instructions on your clothes' label first.
About Storage
1. Clean Before Storing: Always wash before storage. Moths are attracted to stains and skin particles left on worn clothing.
2. Fold, Don't Hang: Knitwear will stretch and develop shoulder bumps if hung long-term.
3. Use Breathable Storage: Store in breathable cotton or canvas bags with natural moth repellents like cedar blocks or lavender sachets. Avoid sealed plastic containers or vacuum bags, as they trap moisture and damage fibers.
Light pilling is a natural occurrence due to friction and does not indicate poor quality. Use an electric fabric shaver or cashmere comb, gently remove pills. Avoid pulling pills off by hand or using harsh combs, as this can damage the fabric structure.
