Brooklyn Breeze & Blue Merino: Kicking Off Spring 2026
Throwback Thursday, our feed is looking a little greener and a whole lot brighter. Before the NYC Half, we logged that sacred first spring run of 2026 in the heart of Brooklyn.
The streets are quieter in the morning, but the group's energy is loud. Hitting the road with @vitalrunclub felt like a collective exhale.
And Run fit is the FIBO Merino Wool Shirt. In Brooklyn, early spring is a negotiation — one minute you’re shielded by a chilly shadow, the next you’re sweating under an unexpectedly bold sun. For that kind of changing, indecisive weather, a sustainable merino wool layer isn't just comfortable; it's necessary. It breathes when you heat up and insulates when the wind cuts through the avenues.
AOGA Gold Winner 2026: Storm Pants
Outopia Storm Soft Shell Pants deliver impressive versatility across high-altitude hiking, climbing (indoor and outdoor), and daily commuting. Windproofing and breathability are well balanced, while stretch and articulation ensure unrestricted movement through the hips and knees. Comfort holds up across temperatures: ideal for 10–20°C in low to moderate output or static conditions, and capable above 0°C during high-intensity efforts.
Practical details abound—hand pockets with a small zippered compartment on the right, large thigh pockets, and one-handed adjusters at both hem and waist. Only caveat: the face fabric is prone to pilling against rough surfaces.
On the tech front, Outopia is stormfleece’s exclusive partner in China. The process cuts material use and pollution while boosting durability. The pant body includes 10% wool, a renewable resource. On-body experience confirms classic single-layer soft shell traits: a windproof, water-repellent shell over a warm, next-to-skin-friendly interior.
Fit is sharp and distinctly Asian‑market tailored—snug at the waist without restricting the hips or thighs. Compared to conventional soft shell pants, this one carves its own niche in build and wear, delivering solid value.

Melbourne Two Bay Trail Run 2026
A week ahead of the Two Bays Trail Run in Melbourne, we spent time with the local running community Mad Rabbit Crew for a pre-race shakeout run. Set in the scenic Mornington Peninsual, this race is known for its community spirit and summer vibe, athletes are often dressed in bright, colourful gear!
This is where we come in: kitting out this community of runners to ensure they feel (and look) their best before the big day. The Mad Rabbit Crew wore our Earth Series Merino Wool Top and Freerun Pants, keeping cool in Melbourne's summer heat while also expressing themselves through our colourful designs.
The performance features of merino that we all know and love, temperature regulation, breathability, and comfort, excel just as much in summer as they do in winter. We would know, we have runners testing it out all around the world!
At Outopia, we build products for people who take running seriously without taking the joy out of it.

ISPO Award Winner 2025: Vita Shell
Designed for extreme conditions
With the Vita Shell Jacket, which is certified for competition, Outopia has developed a waterproof and windproof jacket specifically designed for trail running and alpine expeditions. It is ideal for unpredictable mountain weather. The jacket meets the strict requirements of ultra-runs such as the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) and boasts a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm, a breathability rating of 15,000 g/m²·24h, and high abrasion resistance. Weighing only 190 g for men's size S, it is also particularly lightweight, which is especially relevant for ultrarunning.
The jacket is made of Pertex Shield 3L, a three-layer material that provides protection from rain and wind while remaining highly breathable. Seamlessly welded, extra-flat 7D seams minimize chafing and prevent water ingress. The jacket's design accommodates the movements of trail running. A triple-adjustable hood and anatomically shaped cuffs protect you from wind and rain without restricting your vision or mobility.
